From July 15th to 19th, 2024, the Conference of Religious Women India (CRWI) organized a transformative leadership training program titled \"Holistic Empowerment: A 5-Day Journey Towards Personal and Societal Transformation\" at CDI, Bullapar, near Guwahati Airport, Assam. The workshop was facilitated by Br. Sunil Britto CFC and brought together 32 participants from various congregations across Northeast India.
Key Highlights:
- Day 1: The program began with an introduction to CRWI’s vision and mission, followed by interactive activities and the introduction of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to help participants understand their unique personalities.
- Day 2: The focus was on deepening self-awareness through MBTI exercises, team dynamics, and discussions on leadership qualities. Participants engaged in lively activities and reflective exercises, fostering a deeper understanding of themselves and others.
- Day 3: Participants explored the concept of personal transformation through the \"Metamorphosis of Butterflies\" activity. The session also introduced Non-Violent Communication, emphasizing empathetic communication and conflict resolution.
- Day 4: The day centred on understanding emotions and needs, with a strong emphasis on ecological awareness. Participants engaged in creative activities that highlighted the importance of empathy and environmental stewardship.
- Day 5: The final day included sessions on eco-feminism, non-violent communication, and a discussion on challenges in religious life led by Sr. Elsa Muttathu PBVM. The program concluded with participants expressing gratitude for the enriching experience.
The program successfully equipped participants with leadership skills grounded in empathy, ethical responsibility, and ecological awareness. It fostered personal growth and strengthened the commitment of religious women to lead with integrity and compassion in their communities.
