About CRWI:
The Conference of Religious Women India (CRWI) under the aegis of Conference of Religious India (CRI) is an organization registered as a Trust in the year 1981 with seven elected Major Superiors from different congregations of the Catholic Church, known as the Governing Board, to provide guidance and support to the trustees and to the organization in meeting its objects and the vision-mission. The journey of CRWI began in the year 1964 when the Vatican council alerted all religious congregations to make themselves relevant to the changing times. Mother M. Theodosia AC was the first president of the organization. This being an initiative of Archbishop Knox, the first intervention began in the year 1964 with the inauguration of Institute Mater Dei - A formation house of young religious leaders of all the congregations.
Today CRWI functions with independent and well-coordinated 4 units, specially evolved to cater to the different purposes of CRWI.
Job Summary:
Research Lead will extend support to CRWI in program planning, evaluation, knowledge management and monitoring. He/ She will identify performance indicators, develop quality assurance strategies, maintain contact with partners and ensure all program aspects comply with institutional requirements. He/ She will also support/undertake development related studies and build capacities at different levels.
This is a key role within CRWI and specifically under Knowledge and Data Management Center’s research and development team. Will be responsible for leading, managing and delivering high profile research and development work on the lives of Women, specifically Religious Women, and supporting colleagues within the organization to do the same. The role will involve providing effective leadership and oversight of a range of programs and projects across learning, skills and leading a program of research and development work aligned to our strategic plan.

Key Accountability Areas:
Design System and Process and Evolve and Lead a strong Research Team building a strong and vibrant Knowledge cum Data Management Center, building adequate knowledge, skill and enthusiasm in operationalizing the unit and ensuring rollout of the Strategic Plan that becomes an integral element of CRWI to enhanced quality and impact at all levels
Design and lead research and development programmes (independently design tools/ questionnaires, analysis, interpretation of findings, Report Generation and Designing Report) and projects across India with different Congregation, groups along with Knowledge partner for CRWI for Knowledge and Data Management Center ensuring that work is delivered to time and quality expectations, within budget, and with appropriate measures of its impact.
Set Standards and ensure adherence to standards specific to data, data management, accountability, quality and actions at all levels level
Develop, Strengthen and maintain effective relationships and networks with different stakeholders involved in research – including national and local religious bodies, academic institutions, other national/local agencies, trusts and foundations, service providers, and other research centres and think tanks.
Conduct knowledge and skill building of staff, partners in different congregations and states for high standards of performance, transparency, quality information and use of data through innovative tools, techniques and methodologies.
Build upon the existing information, organizational knowledge and facilitate a culture of quality planning, programming, knowledge dissemination, capacity enhancement of staff
Increase visibility of the organization by disseminating innovative practices and by disseminating innovative practices and learning of the projects, progresses, achievements through knowledge products, reports and evidence to larger audience to showcase efforts of the organization in brining changes in the lives of the Women Religious, and Society
Plan and Undertake field support activities devoting 40% of the time to provide handholding support, community interactions and triangulation of findings with ethical considerations.
Promote Gender Sensitization and Rights of Women Religious at all platforms and project components
Qualification And Skills:
Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Social Sciences, Rural Management/ Development, Sociology, Human Resource Management or allied subjects
Having a minimum of 10 years of working experience in Social Field with 5 years in Research
Sound understanding of Social Field, Community Development, Research with strong acumen for Monitoring and Evaluation with digital expertise
Expertise in in digital data collection tools and processes with data management activities, and having analytical skills for carrying out data interpretation
High Proficiency in computer skills, including use of the Internet and MS Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) along with MS Excel Analysis/ SPSS or any Data Processing and Analysis tool
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, coaching and documentation skills
Self-disciplined, hardworking and committed
Manage Team efficiently and effectively and result oriented with high degree of motivation and adherence to timelines
Desirable Requirements:
Should have a desire to work in Catholic Religious organisation and experience of working with Women focused projects
Remuneration / Package / Benefits:
Maximum Budgeted Salary to be offered is between ₹ 75,000 – 80,000, based on experience and overall fit. In addition – existing applicable benefits at CRWI and opportunities for further personal development will be made available.
